2nd Training School

2nd Training School - Pathogenomics

The second Training School of the SUSTAIN COST Action (FA1208) is scheduled to take place 2 - 8 April 2017 in Norwich, United Kingdom.

The event is organized by Prof. Eva Stukenbrock (Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel and Max Planck Institute of Evolutionary Biology, Kiel and Ploen, DE) and Prof. Sophien Kamoun (Sainsbury Laboratory, Norwich, U.K).

The venue for the course and talks will be at the Sainsbury Laboratory, Norwich, Great Britain.

Adress: The Sainsbury Laboratory, Norwich Research Park, Norwich NR4 7UH, UK

Objective

The goal of the training school is to enable participants to analyse pathogenomic data sets, discuss relevant concepts in the field and discover novel applications.

Target audience

Researchers working with next generation sequence data of plant pathogens. Priority will be given to young researchers who have limited access to training in bioinformatics in their country/institution (ITC – inclusiveness target countries). Basic familiarity with the command line, Python, or R is important to take full advantage of the course.

Invited speakers/Trainers

  • Ronnie de Jonge, Plant-Microbe Interactions Dept., Utrecht University, the Netherlands
  • Pierre Gladieux, UMR BGPI, INRA, Montpellier, France.
  • Ronny Kellner, Max Planck Inst. Plant Breeding, Cologne, Germany.
  • Christophe Lemaire, INRA, Angers, France.
