2nd Annual Conference

The second Annual Conference of the SUSTAIN Action is due to take place in Zakopane, Poland from 15th - 17th October 2014.
The application process for the 2nd annual conference is now closed.

The conference will be held in Poland's premier mountain resort of Zakopane, the beautiful and picturesque capital of the Polish High Tatra Mountains. Zakopane is a town in the south of Poland, approximately 110km south of Krakow and close to the border with Slovakia.

The conference will be organised by Dr. Magda Krzymowska (Institute of Biochemistry & Biophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences) and Dr. Marcin Filipecki (Department of Plant Genetics, Breeding & Biotechnology, Warsaw University of Life Sciences) and will be held and the Hyrny Conference Centre in Zakopane.
The conference is expected to welcome around 100 participants.
 
  

  

   
  
The conference will be split into four sessions as well as some poster sessions. The topics of the sessions will be as follows:

Effector evolution and diversification(working group 3)

The conference will be held in the Hyrny Conference Centre in Zakopane. Venue address: 20 Piłsudskiego Str., 34-500 Zakopane. Hyrny is located in the mountain resort of Zakopane, 400 metresfrom Krupówki, the city’s main street.
  
   
Getting to Zakopane:
 
The nearest international airport is Krakow. Click here for a list of destinations from Krakow.
A shuttle service will be arranged to collect participants from Krakow airport and take them to Zakopane. The journey time will be 1.5 - 2 hours.
 
  
How to participate: 
 
The call for abstracts for the 2nd annual conference of the SUSTAIN Action is now closed.
All applications are going through a selection process and successful applicants will be made aware of the jury's decision by the end of April 2014. Since the places for the meeting are limited we want to emphasize that the on-line form is an application for registration. Completing the form does NOT mean that you are allocated a place at the meeting. Please do not make any travel bookings until you have received confirmation that your application to attend the meeting has been approved.
     
  
Reimbursement:
 
Successful applicants will be eligible for expenses reimbursement from COST. Travel, accommodation and subsistence costs will all be reimbursed, in line with the COST Travel Reimbursement Rules. All receipts/bills must be sent for processing as soon as possible and no later than 30 days after the end of the conference. After this deadline it will no longer be possible to submit an expenses reimbursement claim.
